Android Vmware Image Download Fix

How to Download and Install Android VMware Image on Your PC

If you want to run Android on your PC, you can use a virtual machine software like VMware Workstation or VMware Player. A virtual machine allows you to run another operating system inside your current one, without affecting your files or settings. You can use an Android VMware image to test apps, games, or just explore the Android system.

In this article, we will show you how to download and install an Android VMware image on your PC. We will use Android x86, a project that ports Android to the x86 platform. You can choose from different versions of Android, such as Oreo, Pie, or LineageOS. You can also use VirtualBox or VMware ESXi instead of VMware Workstation or Player.

Step 1: Download an Android VMware Image

The first step is to download an Android VMware image from a reliable source. We recommend using OSBoxes, a website that provides free virtual machine images for various operating systems. You can find Android x86 images for VMware and VirtualBox on their website.

Go to https://www.osboxes.org/android-x86/ and scroll down to see the available Android x86 images. You can choose from different versions of Android, such as Oreo, Pie, or LineageOS. You can also choose between 32-bit and 64-bit images, depending on your PC's architecture.

Click on the download link for the image you want to use. For example, if you want to use Android x86 9.0-R2 Pie 64-bit for VMware, click on the link that says "VirtualBox (VDI) 64bit Download Size: 718MB". You will be redirected to a page where you can download the image file.

The image file is compressed in a ZIP format. You will need to extract it using a tool like WinRAR or 7-Zip. After extracting it, you will get a VMDK file, which is the virtual disk file for VMware.

Step 2: Create a New Virtual Machine in VMware

The next step is to create a new virtual machine in VMware Workstation or Player. A virtual machine is a container that holds the virtual hardware and software for running another operating system.

Open VMware Workstation or Player and click on "Create a New Virtual Machine". You will see a wizard that guides you through the process. Choose "Custom (advanced)" as the configuration type and click "Next".

On the next screen, choose "I will install the operating system later" and click "Next". This means that you will use an existing disk image instead of installing from a CD or ISO file.

On the next screen, choose "Linux" as the guest operating system and "Other Linux 4.x or later kernel 64-bit" as the version. Click "Next".

On the next screen, give a name and location for your virtual machine. For example, you can name it "Android x86" and save it in your Documents folder. Click "Next".

On the next screen, choose how many processors and cores you want to assign to your virtual machine. The default values are fine for most cases, but you can increase them if you have a powerful PC. Click "Next".

On the next screen, choose how much memory (RAM) you want to allocate to your virtual machine. The recommended amount is 2 GB, but you can increase it if you have enough RAM on your PC. Click "Next".

On the next screen, choose "Use an existing virtual disk" and click "Next". This means that you will use the VMDK file that you downloaded and extracted earlier.

On the next screen, click on "Browse" and locate the VMDK file that you extracted from the ZIP file. For example, if you downloaded Android x86 9.0-R2 Pie 64-bit for VMware, the file name should be something c481cea774
